We are looking for an entrepreneurial CTO for a new tech initiative

Axel Johnson builds and develops profitable trade and service businesses in Europe, with a focus on the Nordics. Today our group consists of Åhléns, KICKS, Martin & Servera, Novax, Axel Johnson International, as well as the partly owned listed companies Axfood (Hemköp, Willys, et al) and Dustin.

Retail is currently undergoing a paradigm shift. Digitization and new customer behaviors are changing how, where, when and from whom we make purchases. New players are entering the market and established players are forced to change. Retail will change more in the coming decade than it has over the past century.

To create momentum in our transformation work we have initiated Axjalla – a Group-wide initiative for strategic renewal. Axjalla comprises of several projects where we use data to create better customer offerings, streamline internal processes and build better functionality for payments and logistics. All initiatives are aimed at putting data and customer insight at front.

We are now looking for an entrepreneurial CTO who wants to drive transformation by setting up a new tech initiative from scratch.

We believe the right person:
– Thrives in changing environments, has built a technical platform from the ground up before and can think both scalability and speed at the same time.
– Has a high strategic capacity and at the same time an ability to make things happen.
– Has a developer background but is today an experienced leader who knows how to successfully attract talent and help people work together towards shared goals.
– Loves digital product development and understands what requirements both business and customer experience put on operations, performance and flexibility from a technical point of view.
