Joakim Skarborg new CEO of Novax

Joakim Skarborg has been appointed new CEO of Novax. He took office on January 15, 2019.

Joakim Skarborg has been with Axel Johnson for the past eight years, first as Investment manager at Novax and for the past two and a half years as Vice President and Managing Director Corporate Development at Axel Johnson Inc. in New York. He succeeds Eric Persson.

In connection with Joakim Skarborg taking up the position as CEO, a new structure is also introduced, where Novax gets an expanded responsibility for Axel Johnson’s investments in small and medium-sized companies, from start-ups to more established companies in industries with structural growth.

– Joakim has a solid background within investments in both growth stages and more mature companies, and he also knows Axel Johnson well. We are very happy that he has chosen to come back to Novax and are convinced that his experience and expertise will enable Novax to find more exciting investments and continue to create great values for Axel Johnson, says Jacob Wall, chairman of Novax.

– Novax is a unique platform for long-term investments in companies with high growth potential and I am very happy and motivated to be back. Our ambition remains to be the best partner to and owner of the companies and leadership teams we invest in. Together with our businesses and their management, we will continue to develop small and medium-sized businesses into meaningful new platforms for Axel Johnson, says Joakim Skarborg.
