Novax invests in the Swedish scheduling, time reporting and payroll management company Personalkollen, which has a leading web-based solution for the hotel, restaurant and catering sector.

Personalkollen was founded in 2011 by Niclas Lundell, Andreas Pelme and Johan Strandberg and today has 15 employees. The company is headquartered in Umeå with development department and customer support in Linköping. The company was started when the founders saw an opportunity to substantially improve the restaurant industry’s daily challenges with scheduling, staffing and payroll.

Personalkollen is a web-based and user-friendly staff and payroll system that offers scheduling and digital payroll management, which simplifies the accounting and management of tax returns, payroll specifications and employer contributions. Through connection to the cash register, Personalkollen can also offer profitability analysis and tip management.

The company, which currently has about 1,500 customers in the Horeca (hotel, restaurant and catering) sector in Sweden, has since 2015 collaborated with Novax’s sister company Martin & Servera as a service within Martin & Servera’s premium portal. Personalkollen is a software service (SaaS) with no startup fees, hidden costs or binding times. The company had sales of SEK 27 million in 2019.
