Erik and Göran Ennerfelt’s Fund for International Studies for Young Swedes
Thinking about studying abroad in order to gain a greater understanding of the international situation? Would you like to improve people’s living conditions? Are you a journalist, or studying journalism, and interested in studying international questions?
The Foundation Erik and Göran Ennerfelt’s Fund for International Studies for Young Swedes was established in 1986 in memory of Erik and Göran who perished in an plane crash in Mexico in the same year, aged 21 and 18 respectively. Since 1986, the Foundation has awarded 4-8 scholarships per year to young Swedes for studies at colleges or universities outside Sweden.
The purpose of the Foundation is to promote studies that develop young Swedes’ understanding of international conditions. Erik and Göran themselves had pursued international studies in San Francisco, Brussels and Mexico City prior to their death.
